Live from the OTC

This year is my 4th OTC experience and I think I have finally found my way around the place. Having said that, I was disappointed to find out that the reliant stadium was not being used! As I sit here looking at all the people wandering by looking for free pens and lanyards, I am thinking about the best way to tackle the event. So here are my tips for a successful OTC.

• Plan your trip: Who are you really looking to visit and connect with?
• Put on your flats: definitely need your comfy shoes.
• Pick up the heavy brochures on the way out!
• Make sure your best client has a booth with an upstairs bar area.

Most of all get yourself invited to the evening drinks parties. You may actually end up doing a deal!

Well I have finally got round to blogging!

Thank you to David Meerman Scott, author of 'The New Rules of Marketing and PR' for giving me the inspiration to actually starting my blog. The aim of which is to highlight some of my thoughts and ideas on the challenges faced by today's global recruitment companies in the oil and gas industry.
